In order to be a successful unit, a lift truck has to be powerful enough to last in all working environments for many hours of use. It should be able to transport cargo effectively and quickly as well. The machinery should be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator too.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and dependable. The powertrain requires the power to always offer great strength through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with extremely tough shafts and robust gears. The transmission, engine, drive and steer axle are all isolated to reduce noise and vibration inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
Mazda's LP engine and GM's gas engines utilize cast iron blocks to promote long life. These equipment provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that needs minimum adjustment or repair. These kinds of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that minimize wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Both the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engine provide a higher compression ratio leading to better torque. Amazing fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on most machinery. It features gears that are 15% stronger and shafts that give resistance when driving on rough terrain. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available that adjusts automatically in order to decrease maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to eliminate shock loading, increase durability and extend the life of the tires. Furthermore, the auto deceleration feature reduces break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
The Drive Axle is made for added strength with its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This particular component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are entirely sealed against contamination and basically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to be able to protect the steer cylinder from debris and damage. It has fixed-length tie rods to add more stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. Moreover, cast ductile iron axle lessens wear and increases toughness.
Yale had made lots of safety features and ergonomic features part of their regular packages. These types of equipment will handle tough environments, while keeping the operator both safe and comfortable for the length of their shift.
