Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklifts offer height and versatility. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Standard forklifts could not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to raise workers. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a chain or strap which is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
