Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator an efficient and safe place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The most important goal is to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed in order to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is gently rounded and extremely comfortable. This area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential information, so as to keep the operator functioning as effectively as she or he could.
Thanks to the insulated mounting to the chassis, overall noise levels and vibration levels are kept low. The hydraulic controls and the operators' seat are all individually adjustable as a way to maintain an optimum working position. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 simple to operate, ergonomically positioned multi-functioned levers which are offered for the window washers, horn, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
A ventilation/heating unit guarantees a comfortable cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machinery has a robust 3-speed fan for cooling, heating, recirculation and defrosting. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all within easy reach. The basic instruments that include: warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Moreover, gauges display values for gearbox oil pressure, engine coolant, fuel quantity and operating time.
Among the key options the 8 to 10 tonne trucks could be outfitted with is the ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring. This enables for easy supervision of the unit. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any errors that take place and their current values.
