Order pickers
Turret trucks and reach trucks are commonly utilized to handle palletized loads whilst order pickers are designed more to handle individual items or cases. Order pickers are also sometimes called stock pickers or order selectors. The machine includes a platform on which the operator stands. The order picker lifts the operator together with the forks so that he or she could pick stuff from the shelves and put them onto a pallet on the forks. The equipment can move forward whilst in an elevated position. Wire guidance systems are offered.
Order Picker
Order pickers are available with certain fork size, lift and travel speeds and reach and weight limits. Nearly all have a fork size intended to load an average pallet, no more than about 1.5 meters long. The higher travel and lift speed helps increase productivity, but training is truly essential to prevent accidents. Personnel must be trained on the particular units they will be using.
Low Lift Pallet Jacks
Non-powered pallet trucks
Non-powered pallet trucks are a less costly choice. These basic lift trucks are also referred to as hand pallet jacks and hand pallet trucks. These trucks use a hydraulic mechanism in order to lift pallets no more than several centimeters off the ground. The individual operating it pulls the load utilizing the handle of the truck.
Electric-powered pallet trucks
Built for easy maneuvering, the electric-powered pallet trucks are cheaper. The fork size could hold two or three pallets. These trucks come in two kinds: the "rider" includes a platform wherein the operator rides in a standing position; the "walkie" type is meant to be operated whilst the operator walks alongside. These trucks are normally found in warehouses, with operators order picking while moving down the aisles. Both powered and non-powered pallet trucks are categorized as ITA Class 3.
