The forklift truck is an extremely large and powerful machinery able to function efficiently and smoothly, lifting and moving objects within material handling orientated jobs. Many parts should be replaced on regular basis because of breakages and damages.
Forklifts are very versatile machines. A variety of different accessories can be fitted onto the machines in order to increase their capabilities and expand the jobs they are often able to finish. Several of the key different forklift components and accessories are described below.
Fork Extensions
Fork extensions are made to fit over the forklift's regular forks. These forks could can be changed entirely, or various parts can be added to them so the truck can raise various types of loads including rollers, telescopic loads, baskets, amongst others.
Forklift Seals and Bearings
The seals and bearings on the forklift allow the inner workings on the machinery to run efficiently and optimally. Bearings allow two moving parts of the equipment to smoothly work together, without any friction. If not properly fitted, bearings and seals could occasionally break and wear down and these components may have to be replaced periodically. If a bearing is the proper type of bearing utilized for the machinery and it is correctly fitted, this particular lift truck component could easily outlive the life expectancy of the entire apparatus.
Cabs
The forklift's cab is the part of the machine where the operator sits and performs maneuvers. The cab can be open or it may have a roof, based on the specific unit. On a work place, this forklift part usually has a roof to lessen the risk of falling materials and comply with safety measures.
Brake Forklift Components
The brakes located on a lift truck truck are required to be regularly checked in order to make sure that they are in safe working condition. Normally, these components must be replaced because of damage or extended wear.
Tires and Wheels
The wheels and the tires are the lift truck parts which are most usually damaged. Problems occur due to slashes from uneven and rough floor boards and punctures from sharp objects on the floor.
